Criteria for Eligible Employees

To be eligible for coverage, employees must be:

1. actively working at least 30 hours a week (with Assurity approval, fewer hours may be accepted depending on employer’s benefit eligibility guidelines),

2. performing the duties of their primary occupation currently and for the last 90 days (whether with this current employer or past employers), and

3. employed at their current employer for at least 30 days (some industries may require a longer period at Assurity’s discretion).

Those not eligible for coverage include:

    employees with incomes substantially based on commissions, and

    retirees.
